Thanks Randy,
The Gedore is nice, however out the price range, and that part number is for the puller part, the separator comes separate. Husqvarna must put 2 parts in one box and a new sticker.

I think it was in two boxes......but I condensed it.

Is that an 088?

Na Im an 084 boy :)
There is actually 3 or 4 of them in the pile including one old 2 piece head methanol saw I plan to rebuild and resurrect.... but this thread is about 3120's!

Randy, I will be very interested to see what you do with the lower transfers!
The one 3120 I have done, I was amazed at how little room there was left to widen ports and at how small of a hole the lower transfers are.
The lowers look to me to be focused on piston window flow more that upflow from the case. The 3120 piston windows are also huge!

Randy that cylinder looks awesome!

It's actually got a few hours of run time on it. I had a 3120XP here that kept going lean.......and out of desperation, I did a different jug for it. It still went lean. I ended up drilling the seat to get more fuel into the metering bowl.

Randy,

Will you be sharing some info, pics, etc on what you do to these carbs during this build thread? I am also currently doing a 3120 for myself and carbs just are not my thing at all.

Cheers.

I've struggled with the idea of sharing what I do to these carbs. I had someone share with me what they do, and I said I would not share it.

But.....that was years ago, and what I do is a lot different than what I was shown.

I gotta think about it.
