8's wear stuff out faster imo. I used to run 8t with skip on everything 24" and up. It cut nice but I got tired of throwing chains and wearing bars/chain so fast. Creates a lot of heat with a stock oiler. I may give it a shot again with a modded oil pump.

Well that depends entirely on the saw

And the wood, and your cutting style. It is real easy to jam up a saw when you are doing that diagonal cut for the face in real hard wood.

And a saw that keeps pulling when a large cut starts to pinch is priceless IMO.

If I had a jonsered dealer left, I would have went that route for sure.
