Wow! I have never heard of one being that high! I don't think I've seen more than 96. Very interesting. It's numbers (without a gasket) outta the box were 82.5 intake, 91.5-92 exhaust, 120 transferrs.
Could it be a case of QC don't give two dams cause it's an older saw model?Wow! I have never heard of one being that high! I don't think I've seen more than 96. Very interesting.
No Sir, I don't believe this to be trueCould it be a case of QC don't give two dams cause it's an older saw model?

This isn't the first OEM 066/660 thats timed this way. Matter of fact, this is actually the third one that I've seen in the last few months, it seems that Stihl has changed the timing on their cylinders.
There are some great running 90cc Stihls that have timing numbers around the 93-96/82-85/120-123 ish ranges...........I'm expecting this to be another one.View attachment 87114
Maybe they are trying to get into factory racing ??
I'm wondering if Stihl was producing different castings for specific markets?
I assume they did it for a reason since it doesn't seem likely for port locations to migrate around using the same mold. I wonder who has a copy of the engineering spec sheet with all the information on this.I bet I've seen 10 different 066/660 jugs......and maybe more 046/460 jugs.
