Maybe a bad Idea....maybe not.

I need to replace some wrist pins with quality stuff for milling.
The bearing in question is an 084. I will be installing a 3120 piston and not sure what bearing to use. Not having the 3120 bearing in hand makes it hard to measure. Eventually, I'd like to try a Cross top end on it. Several piston options available for them also.

I know others mix and match top ends. This thread might be good to carry on a list of options with information like part numbers and purchasing options.

Mix and match OEM stuff is pretty much the only option here Ken. Might take some parts swapping or internet sleuthing to get there. Meteor has some good info on their site.

I'll check out Meteor, Thanks.

OE will be the goal every time. So many manufacturers use the same bearing with different widths. A Husky, Dolmar, Solo or other quality bearing to avoid Stihls bend-over pricing will be betterer

1122 1124 and Dolkita 37mm seem to be the ones on my radar most.
