Managed to get a better video, I feel like it’s pretty obvious in this one. Tried moving the rod left and right to see if there was any difference, if there was any it was minimal.
Those 028 and 038 are tough as nail.. WILL not blow up running motor oil in 25:1. But I think after that stihl push the bottom end to the limit, or almost to the limit.

Gotta remember, most of those old saws were torque monsters. They didn’t have the horsepower because they didn’t have the RPM. Many of them only turned 12K out of the wood. And then these saws start turning 13-14k and then it’s no longer good enough if it’s run at 50:1 on gas station oil. And the newer strato saws make it worse yet
