WWJMSD???

Complete the nick in the boot and add a matching leak on the other side. The extra air intakes in the boot give his saws the extra RPM versus other builders (who are overpriced and inexperienced compared to him). Actually all it takes is these cuts in the boot and muffler mod and that'll be good enough for who it's for. Plus, the saw runs great, even if the filter's plugged. :)

The nick in the boot could've been caused by anything.
This was a tree service saw and spent its life being tossed in a saw box with 10 other saws.
Under normal circumstances there is nothing that would touch the boot.

I'll go ahead and replace it. Save this one as a spare.

Anyone have a good OEM 1122 (066/660) boot they wanna part with?

its the best solution Jeremy, intake boots like that doesnt last and its best to swap it out while the saw still has a good top end.

When you remind me I have a good 660 cylinder I'll send ya... Along with a a 346 muffs with a big hole in it
I have 2 660 cylinders here.
One has some serious transfer that I don't think will clean up and the other once had transfer in it that has some vertical gouges that I'm not real fond of above the exhaust port.
I'll take you up on the 660 cylinder my friend.
Stock cylinder or did you stick you tool in the holes?
