If the 6100 was a large bar mount I'd probably be more likely to get one. To me that's a major selling point of the 562.
I could see that especially if you are already invested in them.

Yep. I traded into mine anyway but it was new and ported by AWOL. The small mount don't have near as many options in lightweight bars either. Probably going to get a 28" for it whenever they come back into stock with Nate.

Ya I am waiting for him to get the 24" l&t small mount in. I may have found a 28" Oregon bar for small mount. But by then I think a 7900 would be alot of fun with a 28.

Enjoy your new saw and don't pay attention to Debbie Downers. As I said to each his own and I ran mine today (great saws).

70% of what i payed (out the door, shipped) is $490, you're exagerating more than a little. it's amazing how butthurt someone can get because someone they don't even know bought a tool by a brand other than their favorite. lol

You got a good price then. Dealer pricing for each shows $750 and $575.

I actually got my 6100 as manufacture defect for less than 1/3 of what you paid. Just had a bar stud that wasn't fully seated. Runtime looked to be less than 1hr when I got it. Took 5 mins to fix...[emoji2]

if there's 1 thing that seems cheesy to me, it's the captive bar nuts. it also makes it kinda hard to line up the clutch cover not being able to look through the holes.

What? Never had that problem. I like captive bar nuts, myself. Like Corey, I do not want to misplace my nuts.

If you've even looked for a bar nut in 12" of snow you'll be thankful for captive bar nuts

You should be able to find the hole in the dark, maybe you need a little fur on it?
