Sir I’m lucky to do what I do and continue to get paid unlike so many others. I just wanted the OPE family to know my take on this thing being directly involved in it. I didn’t post this anywhere else as I tend to stay out of peoples lives but I feel there are enough good people here I should share a bit. Take care of each other gents!

Been off two weeks and got a message today telling me to go online and apply for my layoff money from the state to cover the next 3-4 weeks minimum . Alabama is talking about shutting everything down but grocery stores and medical facilities . Never seen anything like this in all my years . Everybody is acting like this is the first Virus that's ever hit this country .

I have kept myself busy in my own yard for the last 9 days and I do not intend to leave my premises for at least another 7 days - after that I am supposed to go back to work.

I like isolating myself so far, I am getting things done around the house that always got pushed back.
I also have a fair amount of trigger time on my saws, that keeps me happy.

Yes it’s an eye opener for sure , this Past week over here there’s been a few high profile people lost there life to this virus

and now our prime minister Boris Johnson is in intensive care

you can’t dress up this virus it gotta be spoken like it is
so the doubters can let this sink in as they will do more damage

Work has become well stressful (I’m a Firefighter), we are seeing more and more cases. Every day it seems some info changes and we have to do something different. We are all being exposed to it and as contagious as it is it’s only a matter of time. I don’t think people realize this can kill anyone of us at any age or health level till you see it and our crews are seeing it.

So not to preach but please stay clear of people as much as possible. By all means if you can get outside and live your life do so just stay away from others.

if you can order your groceries to your home or curbside pickup I would suggest it. For goodness sakes if your a non believer in this that’s your prerogative but please leave your children at home and don’t take them to stores.

Remember to live your life, enjoy each day and take care of yourself and family. It’s a good time to be thankful no matter how little you have.

For the first time in my 43 years I can tell you I am very concerned.

God bless you. My son-in-law is a firefighter in Raleigh. He and my daughter have a 5 month old baby. I am very concerned about them.

Well....phones work pretty well. And we have fiber optic for internet. But we ain't at all crowded.
