My buddy John Laslab had a ne346xp that brad ported that I ran. It was nasty as hell!#
The 346 definitely has a good reputation and a solid following. Personally I've never got to run one. Maybe at the next gtg or something someone will let me have a go with one.

Does anybody think this is worth $350? New NE346XP with 1/2 tank through it?View attachment 29828
they go for 450-500$ in Norway when they are in this condition, it's one awesome deal Keith.
That said, since you already own one 562 I would almost more fancy the good old 346 OE, somehow I just love those.

This is not a light limbing saw this is a saw for the most firewood jobs , and if you have a 550 or a 562 what you need a saw that have only 5 or 10 cc diferent

yeah a 562 or something similar comes 10 times more handy with this tree

Not to be an A hole here, but why are you trying to be a Debby downer. What works for you doesn't always work for everyone else. Like I have said in a previous post. Yes you could get by with those sizes of saw's. But according to Husqvarna posted saw spec's there is a 2 lb difference between a 562 and 346. Ya 2lbs doesn't sound like much. But if you are stumbling, reaching and limbing in general. It is alot. I understand what you are saying about the 10cc difference. You can't judge it by that all the time. Just because I have a ported 70cc saw doesn't mean I'm going to be running a 30" bar on it. I try to keep my saw's light and strong. I want them fast because that is were I get my enjoyment out of them.

Saw pd for and will be shipped in the next few days. Now to see if I prefer the 18" standard .325 bar on it or my 16" Cannon with PS chain. Gonna be hard for me to decide to run anything but the PS chain on it as I love PS chain on 50cc and under
Go 16. They're a little nose heavy if you go bigger

It must be the day of 346's! I got myself one also and is being shipped. Mines ported already but it sounds like you have plans for that to happen also. Congrats on the new saw.

The 562 will get more porting and a 24 es light with skip chain.

I would re think that Keith, and would run full comp either with a 20 or 24" bar. When I timed the cuts with RSLH on the 28" light bar on the 044 against RSL, the RSL was significantly faster. Just sayin, that 562 will likely be one of your most useful saws, and I would want it to cut as fast as it is able.

Best of luck with your new saw.
