I always grouped sizes at 30-60cc as small, 60-90 as medium and 90+ as big. But never looked at a big saw as unnecessary. It may be rare (once a year) to use something that big, but you should seen the jaws drop. 32"... you thought I brought out a light saber.

I broke out my at the time stock ms360 to help a buddy with firewood... his dad says my saw can't cut this one but maybe that big sob can. Oh how I'd love to break out my mmws661 for him now lol.

I've got a couple cousins that think my 357 is big and they just laugh when I say it's my little one. When I fire up the 372 or 288 they just watch in amazement. They're also the type that refer to bar length as the size of the chainsaw. If I'm running any of my saws his MS170 gets put away. Lol!

And as always 288XP FTW!!!!!!

Around here most guys think a ms290 is a "big saw", and you are hot *s-word if you upgraded to the ms310 or even ms390. I had a guy call me for help with a big oak last year. I took my 272 with a 20" and the 288 with a 32". He looked in the back of the truck and asked " what the hell would you ever need those big saws for ? " I said " You called me to help didn't you ? "

Last year I acquired a MMWS044 and it was shipped to our store in Minneapolis. My boss brought it up for me and couldn't believe I had ordered a 24" bar for it.
He owns 3 or 4 saws but still refers to the. By the size of the bar. You should have seen his face when the next one was a MMWS MS660...
You mean the "blade" as many people call it :goofy:
