I sure hope so, the rim should last a little longer for him.Should stay crunk now....
lektricity is simple,
You have + and _
You can fondle one OR the other.
Do not get between them, they bite.
They are separated for a reason.
Find the hot leads and all the ground leads.
Then you can figure out what the switches, devices, loads do and what triggers them.
It may be a ground path or hot that makes it do what it does.
Another good thing to know is how to do and use a voltage drop test.
It can narrow down the problem.
It can quickly find a bad/weak connection or bad wire.
I take every AM clutch spring and throw them in the garbage and put OEM ones on.I could not get my Asian Hybrid to idle low enough to stop the chain from spinning, and then I realized (a bit late) it is not the idle, must be something wrong with the clutch.
So I start taking it down and sure enough a clutch spring is broken. I had ordered a supply of them, but when I went to install one it became clear the ones I purchased have fewer coils (5 instead of 7). So I robbed a spring off a broken 460 clutch I saved and now all is well!
Hopefully you have a good oiler and @AlfA01 saw just has a defective one.

Mind if we get a peek under the hood?
That is your saw Randy??? Not even a Muffler Mod???
