Just dealt with this week. I sure hope he can figure out how to put the chain on the rim now lol.
In the spirit of the saw won't crunk, he said it had a bent crank .

Ok, looks like a total rewire of my riding mower should be no trouble at all. B&S is so kind as to have the basic wiring diagram on their website. I'm a dim bulb (hahahahaha) when it comes to electrical stuff. I understand it well in a book sense, but actually working on it I need all the help I can get.

By the way, it’s a Husqvarna 372XP OE that’s ported with a muff mod and equipped with a full wrap, west coast dogs, and a 24”bar and chain

lektricity is simple,
You have + and _
You can fondle one OR the other.

Do not get between them, they bite.
They are separated for a reason.

Find the hot leads and all the ground leads.
Then you can figure out what the switches, devices, loads do and what triggers them.
It may be a ground path or hot that makes it do what it does.

Another good thing to know is how to do and use a voltage drop test.
It can narrow down the problem.
It can quickly find a bad/weak connection or bad wire.

My normal cosmetic restore and replacing broken bits.

Replacing the break band on a 3120 is a pain. My vise is still in storage so screw clamp had to do. Worked out perfect after a few tries.

I went with the foam filter over the felt, the felt was letting in a lot of wood dust.

Notice the marks on the piston. The rest of the piston is clean and the cylinder. Just this one spot. Should I worry? Replace, check something else? Can still see the machine marks on the rest of the piston.
It was ran without an exhaust gasket for years as clearly seen in the photo below.
It was also missing the factory restriction plate on exhaust. Installed a new one and will modify it once I figure what’s causing the mark on the piston.



Handle cover is heat shrink 3:1 @2”

Looking through boxes for my rivet gun to install the chip guard.

I swapped a primer bulb gas tank onto this 350 that didn’t have a primer, I decided to just plug the primer outlet with the right sized “penny” nail (I cut it off shorter). Have to tap it in, fits very tight and mine hasn’t leaked.

I would look at the rings, stuck or collapsed.
The port edge a little sharp or a small flake off the plating.
Could have been run for a short time with a weak oil mix.
Time to pull it apart.
At least it's nice and clean.

Send it off for porting.

That'll fix everything.
