Thank you sir!

So that’s reusing the cylinder, getting a new oem piston kit on that am case assembly I linked to?

Can I keep the AM bearings, seals?

OEM carbs (and other parts) are the best, but if you don't have an OEM carb the ones D Dave sells (Walbro mfg by ZAMA) are cheap and work real well.

I've not had any failures with the AM cases, bearings + seals but like Dustin stated flush the bearings well, they often have grit in them. I flush them with WD-40 before I spin them, also the large rod bearing and use OEM piston pin bearing + clips. (The AM cases may not have consistent deck height), and often only the AM oiler will fit in them.

See my thread for the AM 440 Big Bores to see the laundry list of problems with the AM 440 kits.

Cleaned her up and attached a new bar and chain.

Went from the factory 10” to a 14” sugi with accompanying chain. The little saw balances perfect. Not nose heavy at all and with enough power for that 14” chain.

Spent the afternoon on my little 3-point chipper cleaning. This saw was handy limbing bigger tree down a bit to fit to keep the chipper chugging.

Next up is a muffler mod.

Only thing I notice is oil dripping everywhere now.
The bar has two sets of Oiler holes.
Oil still reaches the tip but a lot is being wasted.

Gonna have to figure something out to cover the stihl Oiler holes.
