It is nice that Stihl shares those seals amung a few models makes stocking them so much easier and cost effective
Husqvarna doesnt have a huge amount different seals either, most seals from the 2×× serie saws where used on the 3×× serie

Three point lift on the Fergie was dropping as soon as I step on the clutch, you could really hear the pump working hard to keep up. Opened up the inspection plate and found the lift cylinder and the pump pressure relief valve were leaking. The original piston uses three metal rings like an engine, and as the cylinder wears they lose their seal. I had the cylinder honed by a good machine shop and installed the Ford NAA style piston which uses a rubber o-ring and back up washer, it will better seal the worn bore. Also installed a new 2000 psi relief valve which just screws into the rear of the pump.

The actual repairs are super easy, the hard part is getting the top plate with lift arms out, it weighs at least 100 pounds. I get it started with a big prybar and then rest it on it's side as shown here. Put everything back together last night and the lift is working much better now. Unfortunately, the Bluegrass is soggy wet right now so it will be awhile before I try it out for realz.

Going through the 009L cleaning it up, so I pull the coil and blow it off with the compressor. I see a little hint of an unusual color under all the grime...... Break out the brake clean.......

And verifying the part number on it:

Its a Ducati coil with the same part number as the highly sought after 026 Ducati coil.

Yikes. Was it buried Curt? WTF.
Guy that owned that should be whipped!

The 028 and 046 were lying under some pallets outside, looks like they have been there for awhile. Both turn over freely. Hopefully just dirty. We’ll see once I get into em.

Anyone looking for an 046?

The 009 is alive. Runs pretty damn good too! Need to snag a chain for it tomorrow and test it out.

And has a working chain brake.

Not gonna lie; i doodled around inside the muffler.... opened up/cleaned up the exhaust into the muffler, cut down the long thin pipe leading to the pipe going to the exhaust screen. Only thing i don’t like is the carb has a sealed H; no adjuster. The boss is there but nothing drilled into it.
