The gen IV is ridiculous. I thought the first one was powerful. This one feels like it has 10cc on the first. That’s saying a lot. I need to run more tanks through it though to really see how capable it is.

A mouth watering recipe for the holidays.

Flat bread.

Pizza dough
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Softball sized onion or equivalent
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup crumbled feta
3/4 cup shaved parmesian (not ground)
Fresh black pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 450*

Oil pan well

Sauté onion in olive oil till carmelized
Spread dough
Spread oil and onion on dough
Add seeds, then feta, then parmesian
Add black pepper

Put on actual oven bottom for 3-4 minutes, or until bottom crust cooks. You will know because the flatbread will slide in the pan.

Then raise to top shelf and cook till golden brown.

Remove from oven, slide off pan onto a cooling grate. Let cool till warm enough to handle by hand, cut into whatever shape you want. Great at any temp. It has a habit of disappearing quickly.

Enjoy!

Man f them saws I'd be hanging with the family!

Todays airleaks....when it comes to bottom part I'll take one 2xx serie saw anyday, I'm not a huge fan of them 3xx serie saws for several reasons...

353 year 06, leaky plastic clamp wall, more then enough so I couldn't find other leaks.
She got a new partition wall + metal clamp, new p&v test showed that she needed a new impulse hose as well, the last p&v test showed a minor leak, after awhile I found it, those two bolts was loose.....

Next one, 345 year 99, low hour saw, massive airleak around the cyl base, pulled the jug, new part wall + metal clamp, oem sealant was used, almost perfect except that there is an leaky seal also..

I'm just gone trow the whole 3xx powerheads in a bucket water in the future (just as I do with them 5xx serie saws), find all them leaks asap!!
That's what I did with that 550 Tor! Couldn't believe that it was just a bad decomp!

Red Neck Squish Band Sanding!!!

Putting together another Asian 660 and the squish band on the Cross jug needed some attention. It was obvious from the marks on the piston that something was prematurely contacting it near the inside of the squish band.

Not having the proper tools, I took a Huztl piston, duct taped some sand paper to it, put some oil on the sides, and inserted two large paint stirrers to work it back and forth. Not real fancy, but I think it worked.

Then I cut the key .020, installed the flywheel, then installed the cylinder w/o a base gasket. I just use needle nose pliers to put the key in a vice, then I file it with a rectangular file that has a smooth side (which slides along the vice). I think that is the only file I have that has a smooth side, and it only has one smooth side. Makes it so much easier to not erode the vice! It is a Nicholson File.

Also put my home made timing wheel on it and got the following #s:

Squish .020
Ex 104
Trans 122
Intake 83

Not perfect #s, but they otta work! The intake and Exhaust ports on the Cross jug are noticeably larger than the Huztl jug.

Had a fs80 taking up the whole #1 bench.

Old carb just had a L and looked like a brass gov on side. I ordered a new aftermarket with H and L. New echo lines and running like a new one.

waiting on the parts before putting on the bench yesterday
