If you are on unlevel ground that is not going be enough. You may also not be able to raise it back up after you get a load on it, if it is not on level ground. the suspension will squat and the tires will bulge a little. I know I've been in situations were I barely needed ramps, and your gate would not go down in these places. Your gate also looks really short.

This is what I did.

So you drive it ahead 5 feet and lift the ramps up. My equipment trailer legs hit the ground when I put the ramps down. It's still no issue lifting them up, as the tow vehicle squats more than the trailer usually

An equipment trailer has more clearance on the stabilizers than what he does. It looks the guy is doing a nice job on the fab work but you can tell he does not know much about trailers. If you are having a trailer custom built why not do it right? I'm just trying to save him problems down the road. It would be easy to correct now.

If he doesn't like it down the road it's not a big deal. Ten minutes with a cut off wheel...poof they're gone! Let it go man....

Again just trying to be helpful. I really could careless if he wants to leave them on there. I'm sure they will work wonderfully. I'm sorry I said anything.

Some of them do, but as I stated above, mine hit the ground. I actually have to stand on one of them to get it to go down all the way if I'm parked in a hole. Load a 9,000 lb tractor on it and if you load it with some tongue weight, the truck sags more than the trailer. It's not really a big deal to get the ramps up. Never even thought about it

Our Hillsboro gooseneck trailer ramps hit the ground everytime . Sometimes I have to back up to get them down. If they don't hit when you load heavy equipment you run the risk of lifting the back of your truck up .

Decided to start checking out the project mcculloch 797. She has been used, and is pretty rough. Gonna take some work...and gonna have to find a few parts. Not sure if I have spark yet...and definitely need a starter. .....will definitely need some support along the way!!

Got my 394 in the mail yesterday. I’m going to start milling hardwood in the near future and figured this would be a good Saw for the size wood I’m working with. For now I’ll give it a good cleaning & inspection, MM, BG delete and call it good. I’ll do some port work on it eventually. Excited to finally have a 394!!!
