I hate working on Tecumseh carbs. A pain to get off and on as well. All I needed was to check the needle and seat. Fuel and oil were drained so this happened.View attachment 79949

Yeah last one I worked on you basically had to get it down to bare motor just to get the carb off. Don't really understand why they do what they do.

You mean DID what they DID. They went out of business in 2008. Hallelujah and Amen.
It makes my day to tell a customer his Tecumseh is no longer worth fixing so I can throw it on the scrap pile. Now I'm just waiting for them all to die.

There OHV motors are easy to work on and carbs are still available.

Almost said did. I figured they were out of business but I was too lazy to google.

Got the 041 buttoned up last night. The bar cleaned up ok but I couldn't save the chain. IMG_3287.JPG Tracking says the air filter should be here today so hopefully I'm firing this thing up tonight after work...

I took all my running saws out for a ride to the log pile, for a quick shakedown and tuning session.
The 192 is having fuel issues.
The CS346 is a little tractor. I think I'm going to keep that one for a trail saw.
The PS5100 and 550xp are like 2 pretty girls fighting for my attention.
And finally, the 2188 never disappoints.

That's how to justify needing 5 saws for an hour's time cutting.
