I have those all over my shop…somewhere…probably with the circlips…

Not pretty means less chance of it being stolen.Just ran my 041 Super in some large pieces of pine. I’m pretty dang impressed. The thing just keeps chugging. It’s not too bad on vibration, and it’s built like a tank. I kind of like the fact that it isn’t super pretty. Maybe I’ll keep it around as a powerful old beater. Cost me practically nothing.

was the 241 b the best jug? This one has a long history, as a 242 collector there are two I don't have, KS top end and Gilardoni 241B top end.
I had one with 241B, my friend was really keen on it, after much if and but I gave it to him as a gift, I had spent 5 years hunting down exactly that one. Later he traded it away for something else, and I was really disappointed.
So, I got hold of another one after a few years of searching, this ome is from year 1995, but I've had it in a box for quite a few years, something around 3-4 years.
Now it was time to swap wear parts and a simple porting, it got the original exhaust, a cat with most of the inside removed afterwards and the project is finished.
This one will stay with me!

Needs a couple of decals, but that will be another search.
In stock version I think 241B was the best, but all XP Mahle versions were also very good. If I had to choose between them I would probably say 241B.was the 241 b the best jug?
Uh…no, lolMS462 V1 See if you can spot what went wrong. I spun a hone in the cylinder a little and it actually would clean up above the exhaust port once some of the damaged material is removed during porting. It may sit in a box till I have time to port it and drop the cylinder a little.
