Tough transmission. I had one in my Charger. The car was restored over 25 years ago and the same transmission is still in it. That and the Dana 60.

They're actually not super strong, but should work for what I'm doing because we won't be doing any hard launches. Strongest trans from that era would be an A-833 hemi 4 speed.

Mine saw drag racing with super sticky tires. I blew a couple of expensive clutches but no other driveline issues.

Got any pics of the car? What engine? 440?

Wasn't much on taking pictures at the time, but found one that's not too grainy. I bought it with a 400 magnum in 1976. That engine was a turd. replaced it with a fresh built '69 440HP shortly after.
Funny thing, I paid more for insurance on this car and a Harley, than I do now for my 2 Jeeps.
The old guys at that time called this car "cop bait". 😆 They weren't wrong.

Very nice! Is that a '72?

I remember the days of getting hosed on insurance. I had a '66 Corvette, 425 hp 427, 4 speed, 4.11's, knockoffs as my daily driver in New Orleans in 1995-1996. I was paying $400/month in insurance.

It was pretty dirty when I got it, held vacuum and pressure excellently, but will need new seals due to age.

A hidden defect appeared...we'll see if I have a nice tank lying around.

I'm down to 4 seal sets so that's one thing I need to order a batch of.

Currently on my workbench: a reed valve block for cylinders with a round intake. The base is currently a Husqvarna 372. However, the block should fit many other chainsaws or be adaptable. There's still quite a bit of work to do.
