Big dogs on the bench today. New piston for the 661, as well as muffler mod, timing advance. He also brought me the 880 and told me to wake it up a bit. Any tips specific to the 880 to get easy gains? Maybe remove the flower sticker?

Clip on or bolt on exhaust?

I think it’s a bolt on. It’s a 2018 model.

@Canadian farm boy has a nice write-up on the ms880. I followed his advice in that write up and my clone ms880 turned out very well. Snappy throttle response is very nice.

Here's a link for you.

Picked up this MS460 yesterday, previous owner said the clutch flew apart when he started and revved it, im guessing drum wasn't on and clutch was already broke or missing a spring.
Lots of metal shaving and only an inch of brake band left.
Anyway I got it cheap and its low hour.

P52. This one should make a good vintage runner.
I am guessing the open port in the cylinder pic below is what people call the "Boost" port?
Piston is useable, I have some NOS thin rings for it.
Bearings look nice, no play.
Reed block is cracked but not nearly as cracked all to hell as I have seen on these P series.
The little baffle between tanks let go so gas & oil were freely associating. is 1 to 1 a good oil mix ratio for these?
I think a 288 style filter set up will be more effective than the flopper on there now.
The clutch cover is ok but missing the brake spring and flag,
Starter took a big hit. It works but ugly.
.015 squish without the base gasket so no BGD for this one.
