Follow-up on the pool cleaner repair:
Replaced the servo motor and seal. Couldn’t get the motor to get past the self-test while on the bench. I was about to throw in the beach towel but then I flipped the motor casing upside down. Then it started running.
Reassembled everything and ran it upright on the garage floor. It moved forward, moved backwards…stopped.
Flipped upside down, tracks just keep moving.
I think this thing just needed a swim.
I took it back to the neighbor this morning and we dropped it in the pool. It ran like it was supposed to, moving around the pool, side walls and picked up debris.
I was paid for the parts and my time. Not a bad way to start a Sunday. He could have given me money for just the parts ($18.31) and I wouldn’t have cared. Money is tight for everyone and I was glad to get to know the neighbor better. Just a ‘neighborly favor’ if you will.”
Now back to the bench…..
Just finished up this ms462 for a tree service friend. He ran it over with their trailer.
New handlebar, brake, cylinder cover. Some things bent back into place such as the muffler, felling spike, chain catcher. Repaired the rear AV mount on the fuel tank with some JB.
