I bought this 3500 watt champion generator
17 year's ago
Power was on at my place but friend who's dad is on oxygen machine and bipap needed to borrow it their power was out three weeks
And you couldn't find a generator.
Because of storms
So nonstop three weeks and since then
Hundreds more of my own use and loaning it to people
It finally wouldn't start.IMG_20201222_161518.jpg
I changed the oil once a year
But no other maintenance
Original china sparkplug too.
I cleaned and got it running but went
Ahead and got a 10.00 carb off eBay
On it's way.
This thing still doesn't smoke
My neighbor has been through three 7000 watt generators since I bought this.

Yamaha EF4600 generator. Finally got the carb parts I needed. Carb back together and reinstalled and test ran. New air filter installed as well. Just need to let it sit overnight to make sure that the fuel leak is sorted, and if it is, tomorrow I'll do an extended test run and oil change.

Checked on generator this morning before leaving for work. No more fuel leak. I'll give it a good run and oil change this afternoon.

Did a big boy thing and spent 20k. Such an improvement in comfort, visibility and features over the 06. Test ran and changed the oil in my buddy's generator. Found it had a minor fuel drip which was just the float bowl bolt not being 100% tight.

Partner 500, it will be getting a closed port 55 cylinder but I'm going to get it in running shape and do a few cuts so I can get a before and after. I put a new fuel line on it and it fired up but has a bad bog so I'll put a kit in that 5000 carb and put that on it.

Just playing around and taking a break from knife making, been running wide open with that the last month and a half or better.
Took an old busted up carpenter hatchet and started turning it into a belt/backpacking hatchet, tomahawk style. I'm in love so far, lol. Still have some refinement to do though
