Never mind, I see it is not stock, and the limiters must be out.
Found a ms441 with a broken crank on the clutch side. Saw apparently still runs. Guy wants $245 for it and appears to be in decent shape cosmetically. Good deal? Or no. Haven't been able to find any aftermarket stuff for this saw and I have no idea what stihl wants for the crankshaft.

I was just curious if anyone had experience with the ms441. Was kinda thinking about buying it and waiting to see if someone comes out with a crankshaft for it. Just got this in the mail 2 minutes ago

You are taking me back! My 1st Mustang (and engine rebuild) was a 67 Black 289 4 spd Fastback. Bought it at night (a mistake). In the daytime, I saw the smoke screen behind it!

Did new rings and rod bearings and sent heads out for a valve job (w/o removing the block). Put a 600 Holley on it and dual exhaust with Thrush mufflers and I thought I was hot stuff! Used to pal around with my friend who had a 69 Z-28 all the time. The Z was faster, but he was furious that I could beat him 0-50! Those small block Fords had good low end grunt!

I think if I had a Hi Po motor, I would have given him a run for his money!

For those who don't know, the only difference between a 289 and 302 is a slightly longer stroke, block and bore size are the same.

I've never worked on one, but I got 2 441 "parts saws" recently. Have not had time to look at them, wand will likely not have time to look at them till the Spring. I'm working on a major (work related, not saw related) project at the moment that is consuming all my time.

Last night I picked up this poulan pro snowblower for repair. Complaint was the left side wasn't driving and the auger/impeller wasn't working. Removed the belt cover and found the auger/impeller belt worn and off the pulley. It'll be getting a new belt. As for it not driving on the left side, I pulled the wheel off and found the drive collar busted off the rim. Decided to pull the other wheel and found the drive collar half broken. Very cheesy design. New wheels are $130 each, I'm going to see if my boss can weld them up to save the customers money. Also found the belly pan packed with a mouse nest and found Mickey frozen in his nest which I thoroughly cleaned out.
