Looks like the exhaust was dang near plugged to bad about the damage to the cylinder that sucks big time.

The exhaust port has had that piece machined out of it, I've never seen anything like it before.

Believe it was called a rafter port. It was used by Mac to reduce starting compression

I will sideline this project until I can find a donor saw or cylinder.

Yeah the price is a little high but if it's an old saw you really want to repair sometimes it's the best option.

@justoldsaws i don't think that jug is bad either. I mean its not a perfect jug but that damage wont hurt a thing on how it runs. As long as you smooth the area it will run and last fine. Way cool haul of some big vintage muscle saws ya got there. @drf256 was that deto damage on that 361? It also looked like alot of jug wear near the center of the exhaust port. Unless thats just a reflection or something.

I've had some sooper tiger Rc nitro engines that had that same thing they were the first thing that went away when I modified them. Lol
