its a hooray 288 you know its worth fixing

Already been stripped down, split, new bearings, new gasket, pressed all back together. Working on the cyl now. Not many pictures of what people have done (port work wise) to the cyl so I’ll take a couple so you guys can critique. Nothing crazy; widen intake/exhaust a touch, smooth out lower transfers maybe widen them a little. Going to clean up the Meteor piston, smooth it out a little.

026 is done and passed the test cutting of 16" dry ash today. The one that was in 3 boxes and set for 5 years taken apart while owner was drunk. Was a fun little project. Not!

Been using the 041 and it seems like its losing fuel at WOT. Dies out, chokes out then bounces right back. Plenty of fuel in tank, new filter, all new lines, freshly rebuilt Tilly carb.

Just had 026 come in setting all wallygagged. He was cutting bushes with it. Super dull chain pulling on the handle to get it through the side way cuts. Want to guess what he broke.

Actually the opposite is happening, it's flooding until the RPM drops, it has a governed carbeltater.

Properly piss revved and waiting on a few small parts.[emoji38]

Look for a brass plug in the side with a screw slot in it. That's it. It can be blocked off if so desired. At the time Still felt it would not last if too much rpm was obtained.
