Never touched the carb. The saw ran great before the mods. I'm hoping it's an easy fix
Ya that kinda stuff drives me crazy til I find it. How bout the cylinder not quite clearanced enough and not seating fully? Just some ideas to look forIt's obviously something you changed.
Base gasket or carb boot
1st place ld check. Should hold just fine thoughI don't think there are any pins holes but maybe. I'll find out tonight when I do the pressure/vac test. I did however find out the hard way about how thin the intake is. I had to do a little JB repair. The hole was minor and the JB seemed to fix it up. I'm wondering if the jb repair might be keeping the intake tube from sealing perfectView attachment 15276View attachment 15277
Hadnt tried that. Will it idle down when it finds the leak?I've ground through there a few times and jb fixed it.
I had a 390 once doing that and I done my math wrong and didn't cut the flange enough and it was holding the cylinder up.
Wd-40 is a much faster way to find a leak, start it with the covers off and spray till you find it. It will be obvious.
Yep. Easiest way to find exactly where ones leaking.Hadnt tried that. Will it idle down when it finds the leak?
So trueCylinder hitting is a great possibility.
Lot a clearance grinding needs done on a hybrid
I have a mighty vac too. Never use it hardly. Mine gets submerged!! Lol! Ill try the wd40 thoughYep. Easiest way to find exactly where ones leaking.
I bought a new mighty vac a year ago and haven't taken it out of the package.
