Sweet Mike! That is my 272 and the 288 with the half wrap is also mine, you will have to try them both out. The 288 has the same stroke as the 395 but a 2mm smaller bore.

Randy, I ran that little 261 you did for me all morning, and I'm all smiles!

It dropped, limbed and bucked 2 Cherry trees and a Red Maple, and removed an evergreen and a telephone pole.

First time in a long time I only used one saw just to do everything, and it just did everything real well!

Seems to be a perfect match for the 18" 3/8 with square file.

And, it has impeccable manners (starting, idling, etc)

Thanks Randy!

Where is he located?

Michigan. (western Michigan, roughly in the Cedar Springs area) He specializes in automatic transmissions and is a renowned auto mechanic in this state. I will have the 4L60E in my truck gone through by him when I get around to putting a 500+ hp 496 in it.

He works all the time. Does work at a shop and does work at home. Always working on someone's car or his own cars.

I can get a hold of him and see if he is interested in doing a rebuild on your truck's transmission. Only thing I can see being a problem is distance. It is a few hours of driving to get here.

Brought an SP81 home to rob the cylinder off it for my 850 pm. On first investigation the cylinder looked great...but once off the exhaust side had some scoring...fairly deep ones to. Hitting that with 220 grit by hand and seems I was able to get most of the transfer Off, gonna ball hone it this morning and hope for the best.....dang chrome Plated cylinders anyway.
