It should be an KS 1664-7beautiful saw Jon!!!
I also saw on my 242 with a KS jug that it had some of the same style stamp on the top of the jug (yours has a F) who isnt about the A B C D stuff.
yup, it was the first I saw. The F stamp with A, the 242 I saw on today was stamped H with a B.Takk!
I too was wondering about why mine has an "A" in the middle, and an "F" offset at an angle.
I will post up over there. Thanks for the link.yup, it was the first I saw. The F stamp with A, the 242 I saw on today was stamped H with a B.
I dont know what the F and H stand for
This is the thread I always head for when there are jugs I'm in doubt about:

Similar. Each saw is a bit different. Depends on the cylinder and what the owner wants the saw to be.Do you do them all the same?
I tune them to wherever they are happiest. Every saw is different. These saws all have HD11 carbsWhat do you tune them at, and what carb are you using?
hope it goes well and wish you a speedy recovery JakeI will be on a surgeon's bench in the morning. I hope it goes well.
Good luck Jake. GWSI will be on a surgeon's bench in the morning. I hope it goes well.
