I have a handful of saws here that I owed people. Here is a 395XP I received completely disassembled and in a box. I don't normally take jobs like this, but this was a bartering deal.

These pics are all after I cleaned everything up.

New clutch springs and bar guide.

The plastic is quite faded, but I cleaned it up and sprayed it down with tire shine. It got new decals as well.

My uncle picked this saw up for $15 at an auction. He was told it hadn't been run in two years. So he brought it to me to see if I could get it running. I cleaned the carb put some fresh gas in it, gave it a few pulls and runs like a new one. Why cant I find these sweet deals like this? Hate to have to give it back its a neat old saw.

394 built for a friend....mostly spares I had lying around. But it's got new cabers...new nachis and hyway seals....hyway muff.... new fuel line and filter. New starter cord. High top cover and filter will be new. New carb on its way. Light port work only. Didn't need to touch the transfers much. Ended up at 103 12? 76 I think. 190 comp :)

Ugly....but it's got it where it counts. I'd have it running if the carb had showed up. .... :(

Oh....of note. I just sanded squishband to get rid of the plating lip. Squishband was not cut on the lathe. I did machine the case a bit and did do a gasket delete.

thanks my friends.
I sure will take it easy for the next 4-6 weeks, I actually had less issues with my hearth surgery compared to a stupid finger lol

254 XP for my Dad, original cases were junk. Replaced with a set of 261 cases, new bearings, gaskets and seals, Meteor piston, carb kit, clutch drum, rim, clutch drum bearing, bar pad plate, and muffler. Almost done now just waiting on a few smalls, like a fuel tank. :risas3:
