That looks to be a pretty low hour saw! Jug may clean up enough to re use.

New OEM is around $100. I would try to clean up the cylinder first and use a meteor in first. Replace the impulse and intake seals while you have it apart. Common failure point.

Shame, that is a closed port 55 and pistons are not available OEM or aftermarket. A new OEM open port top end is only $100.00

Closed ports made more top end power but the open port lugs better.

If Meteor makes the piston, I would try to clean up that jug and would get one (unless there is damage that the pic does not clearly show).

I got my MS440 with a bad P&C, cleaned the transfer from the cylinder (Randy's Method) and bought a new piston and she runs very strong with a base gasket delete.

My buddy gave me his 440 I build stick for him last year to swap the cylinder on. I offered to swap it with the ported cylinder I had on my 044 before I made it a hybrid.

I've never seen the Hanix mini excavators here in the US.
I had one of these a while back. Very useful little machine. You could extend the tracks hydraulically width wise to add stability. Mine had the long stick option and was plumbed for a tilt bucket I used for finishing.

Nice machine, mine is much older and does not have an enclosed cab, but it does have side swing on the boom which is a nice feature.

Thanks for the link. Turns out little red Barn is about an hour away from me. Looks like they'll be getting some money from me for a piston and probably for other projects too.
