Yeah, we've done a few of them. Been a while though since we've seen one. Not very many of the old SAM motors still out there unless in homeowner use.

Have you guys sold many of the "national promo" E series with the 751 Kawi? Wondering how that motor is. We were selling the Kohler version, but they are gone for the season.

LZE you mean? Until the Radius came out that was our most popular model with landscapers. The Kawi seems to be a good engine, they had some problems early on with bad intake gaskets but that was sorted out a while ago now.

working on an MS660 that had a tree dropped on it...$500+ to fix that thing lol

I bought this one as a gift to my logger buddy, thought to go through her 100% before I handed it over to him. Never had so much trouble with the intake bellow, eventually I build up one 346 so I had a faster saw to test out the intake system on.

Finish the build with putting on some nicer looking plastic parts.


Tomorrrow will be an interesting day, there was one 242 xp for sale, kinda locally, guess who is driving tomorrow

130$ for a decent 242 xpg cat project. Needed a carb clean & gasket kit, trottle lock, and a good cleaning as a start.

will give her new seals, gasket kit, fuel line&filter, ring, mm, and a bit porting


0,1 kg lighter now, a bit more cutting inside the muffler should reduce the weight with another 0,050kg

Put a new carb on a T242X trimmer and working on a Craftsman mower. Customer said it would run and then shut off and not restart. Had it happen to me once and it fired back up within two minutes. Gas was pretty old but I sense coil issues.

Next up, Skilshop 1716 (aka PM340). It's pretty clean, has good compression and a big blue spark but the tank is fully gummed.

IIRC, the fuel tanks on them are plastic and lacquer thinner will clean them up in a jiffy.[emoji106]
