This started out as a piece of junk that most would have tossed in the trash. It was missing
lots of parts like oil and fuel tank, rear handle and wrap handle were long gone as well as a
bunch more. But I have a strong liking for them. Completely rebuilt the motor with new
.010 piston, all new bearings, gaskets and seals, points, cond, carb kit, air and fuel filters,
fuel line, filter knob, oil cap, etc, etc, etc, Lots of nos Mcculloch hardware and misc
parts. Sourced a bunch of the missing parts with good used or nos. Almost done and ready
to make smoke. Nothing like a vintage Super 797 123cc saw. Pic's came out a bit dark.

IIRC, the fuel tanks on them are plastic and lacquer thinner will clean them up in a jiffy.[emoji106]
Lacquer thinner eh? Will that work on a metal tank too? Got an old pioneer im gonna be working on and the tank is full of goo crap from old gas.

Finished up a couple long term projects today....had a Honda EU2000I that just wouldn't take a load. Found out it was an air leak through the carb to intake gasket. Put a new one on and problem solved. That's finally out the door! :D
Also got parts in for a couple 660's and an 064 project.
One 660 had a tree dropped on it so I fixed all that....$500 bill to that customer. Oh well!
Other 660 was rebuilt with a new piston.....old fuel line leaked so finally got that in today....we normally stock that but one of my co workers didn't reorder for stock.
064 is a can of worms....bout $350 into that one. lol No not a rebuild...just a million small things. Fix that up tomorrow.

Revived a Champion power products water pump that needed some TLC from sitting for 7 years after a flood, all went well, very surprised at that..
Did that for a neighbor and also wheel bearing on a chinese utility trailer.
Helped build 6 picnic tables for the Community club. Hot and dry here lots of fires, so am making sure my place is a fire resistant as possible,, water heavily and move fuel sources,,, ya just never know and it happens quick,,

Stihl MS 391....so much junk in the recoil housing that the rotor was wallered out in the center. The spur sprocket was trenched down the middle. The saw was easily a pound lighter after I got it clean.

Are you going to sharpen the blade too?

This is on my bench.
Tankless water heater.
Had to replace the heat exchanger.
Japanese jigsaw puzzle.
5 years old.
There goes all of your energy savings.
I'd pay someone to kick me in the junk before I ever put one in my home or business.
