No, I cut off the old rubber, cleaned up the bar with a scotch brite pad and installed some thick wall heat shrink tubing on it. It came out pretty good.

Its an old way to build a house/cabin who is almost forgotten in many countries.
We have just a few pros left in southern Norway, the log materiale they use is first class pine.
Both me and neightbour has a forrest where 30-40% is old pines, when we deliver pine logs we are lucky if 10% of ours logs goes to building like this, payment is also twice for first class pine, if the log is very long we can get up to four times pay compared to the logs we deliver to sawmills.

I did not go that route with my Hunting Cabin, but it is build Post & Beam from Ash Logs that I milled with the Chainsaw:

That's still pretty sweet. And you made it yourself. Alot of work went into building that I bet.

550 build from bit and pieces, upgraded the carb with new firmware, forgot to grab one trottle & lock at my dealer today
