All in all I ended up to spend 25$ on this one, new ring, plug, fuel line.
Start cover & clutch cover & airfilter & carb where given to me from my dealer long time ago.

Got the time to almost finish this one also, ended up to work out smooth, new ring, fuel line, plug, rim & bearing, and a couple missing screws, and it started up smooth. Will use it for awhile before I give the jug a bit porting.

This cable cover is one we don't find much info in any IPL's, it's a sleeve that is used on 351/346/353/357/359.

Looks good Tor, I have the Jonsered version. It's kind of and odd model. Its an okay limbing saw. mine stays on my work truck.

thanks bud
This 45 was an interesting project, first time I've worked with one. The thing I disliked most was the intake system, same concept as we find on 55.

They are not so bad Brian, I found it easier to put together compared to 345, but that doesnt say much since I hate those plastic clamshells :D
We have a few of them cheapie saws around the farm. Dad has some that just stay on the tractors, if they fall of and get run over it's no big deal.

The
They plate the whole band or just the outer edge? I've cut a few with HSS steel by putting the cutter on an angle and starting towards the center
entire band to half way up into the chamber

Note to self. Don't try and modify cross performance cylinders

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Waiting on a carb for an MS180c.
Just fixed up a trashed 362R. Customer complained of High idle issues....well....with two loose front head bolts and a broken decomp valve I think we have found our issue. The idiot that owns this saw trashes his equipment and then complains and expects them back good as new the next day. Pretty much gonna tell him GFY if he complains about the bill on this one! There was more saw dust in the gas tank than fuel.....hadn't been serviced since New....which woulda been about 6 years.
Had to flush and go through the fuel system.....luckily I was able to tighten the head bolts and it holds pressure and vacuum. Replaced the way worn out plug.....took about 30 minutes cleaning it....serviced it and then sharpened the chain....well....bit grumpy on start up but runs pretty darn good. Oh yeah....starter pulley was severely worn out. Replace it and the rope. Bout $140 on the customer....was gonna charge an extra $50 for him trying to rush me, but I'm not the owner.
EDIT: Yes I did check the piston and cylinder. To my surprise there wasn't even a bit of scoring.

And of course that's all warranty work!!
