It was like 6.00 at Christmas lol i bought two.

Good deal I lucked out and got 5 oem 660 pistons for $110 Canadian $75 US!! Used three so far!!

Just about got the 590 roughed into shape just smoothing port bevels now and then clean up this is one of the nicest cylinders I've seen.

390xp bottom end rebuilt and ready to go. I have to finish cleaning the transfer off the cylinder. Probably be a few more days until it's ready for a test drive.

Did a little welding on a spare crank. Had to fix the busted clip groove. It came out pretty good, think I'll use it when I rebuild the 385.

What bearings did you go with skf is getting pricey.

Yeah I started with the foredom but all I have is 320 grit. I'll have to grab some different stuff before I mess with it again.

What bearings did you go with skf is getting pricey.

I use Nachi and have had good luck with them. They're cheap on eBay.

Have to use OEM on the pto side of these.

Husky 353 getting a boot and clamp update and a new ring. Even the Stihl guys might have to smile seeing how clean the crank and cases are for a 10 year old saw. Bearings feel like new.

What's the story with the 2149? That's some serious compression.

No gasket did some grinding lots of assembly oil and it is damn cold in the garage.

I see.


Here's how I did the lowers in my 353 (same cylinder as yours). Just have to watch out for the transfer cover screws. When you see sparks it's time to stop. Lol

I have a 395 just haven't had to work on it much. It's going on a trip to the wood pile tomorrow. It's a tank but I love cutting with it.

I have a 394 I only mill with it because it is so heavy.
I would guess most 394/395 are fueled and oiled and put to work and they live their chainsaw lives in production work or until a service needs that one big tree.
Most probably don't worry about being taken apart by enthusiasts on internet chainsaw sites
