390xp bottom end rebuilt and ready to go. I have to finish cleaning the transfer off the cylinder. Probably be a few more days until it's ready for a test drive.

Husky 353 getting a boot and clamp update and a new ring. Even the Stihl guys might have to smile seeing how clean the crank and cases are for a 10 year old saw. Bearings feel like new.
They're a nice little runner. I really like mine.

No gasket did some grinding lots of assembly oil and it is damn cold in the garage.
Also at 200' above sea level in IL

Here's how I did the lowers in my 353 (same cylinder as yours). Just have to watch out for the transfer cover screws. When you see sparks it's time to stop. Lol

Why dont people do much with the 394Xp or 395

I have a 394 I only mill with it because it is so heavy.
I would guess most 394/395 are fueled and oiled and put to work and they live their chainsaw lives in production work or until a service needs that one big tree.
Most probably don't worry about being taken apart by enthusiasts on internet chainsaw sites
