036 on the bench now.
Took the transfer off the cylinder.
New Meteor piston and Cabers.
Clutch had blown apart and destroyed everything in the area.
Tried attaching the mongrel dredded oil line and gave up fast. Dug out some high quality fuel like and the job was done in 2 minutes with no swearing or bleeding or throwing of tools in frustration

Next issue was that the raised tabs that hold the chain brake band in place were worn/corroded off.
This ment the brake band sits low and rubs on the top of the clutch drum.

I have made a couple dams and filled them with jb weld which I will grind down to support the band properly

Go back to page 277 where I was scolded for doing the very same thing you did here by the boss and the subsequent fix that followed. :)

Warped body of a HS Tillotson for the 2100, tried a brand new cover, only leaked worse as it was not conformed. Had to take a file to it and flatten it back out. Was able to salvage old cover and carb now holds pressure.

Tralee Ireland meet Toledo Ohio.

File in every direction possible to get the flattest result. No way around this when they get this bad, this can not be replaced so easily either.

All rebuilt and happy again. Gave it a treat, had an old German made Bosch spark plug that I'd been saving for something special, figured this will be about as special as it's going to get.

The echo I posted about a couple days ago, its owner came to collect it today.

Started it up and he said it had never started or run that well since he bought it new almost a decade ago.

He gave me the money for the repair and we had a chat about fuel and oil etc

I told him the reasons behind why I had given the saw a touch of light porting to help air flow and what deleting the gasket did.

He had some fun picking up my 084 and 090

He went and put the saw in the car and wandered back up to my garage with a bottle of red wine in hand and said merry Christmas, shook my hand and took off.

I looked up the bottle of wine and they are $120 a bottle

Well, Merry Christmas!!! I hope it the taste is commensurate with the price! I do like a good Red Wine, but like to keep the cost a lot lower, which makes it challenging to find the right ones.

That 201-T clutch drum is still back ordered, very frustrating. Good thing the guy has 4 of em and does not need it back real soon. On both his older 201-Ts that star dohicky detached from the drum, I fixed the first one a few months ago. That must be a weakness on those saws, and that star thing also drives the oil pump on them.
