288 181 357 353 395 2x066 044 and others. Both 066 are scored,, I did score 4 new stihl oem pistons earlier this year.
Here is what I was doing this am on a 12mm 044. I guess once the bearing went she sucked a lot of air!! The muffler is also toast, looks to have been loose on the saw for a long time.. Both sides of piston scored,, slant fin cylinder will clean up. You wonder what the operator of the saw would hear as that bearing was gone for a while,,,,PTO side.

Soon as i figure out how to do pics i just have a cell phone.
cell phone is more then good enough.
Light is more important then the camera type, and of course to go close enough to your motive.
There is a few programs where I think you can crop out what you want to have from the picture.

I've had DSLR since 09, I dont even know how to use a cell phone camera.

Fading eyesight and my shop is so dark you couldn't make out anything in the pics. And i usually work on a bench outside anyway weather permitting.

Couldnt remember if I had swapped the ring or not, only remembered that the other one got new oem ring so it got a new caber. I've prepared one HDA 120 carb for it.

I have a few modds left to do on it, muffler modd, airfilter modd, advanced timings. Later I'll probleby end up to cut the squish band and go gasket less + some porting. Tomorrow is just to do the normal modd and start it up.
This 254 XPG will go to a friend of me, we plan to try them out with 262 tanks due antivib system.

He can't start it with no decomp. So I'm gonna put this top end on the shelf, and put an aftermarket with a decomp on it for him.

I was gonna say you need to wash your hands.

Which saw Dan?

My FIL's 288. He couldn't start it so I'm putting an aftermarket top end that Spike60 gave me that has a decomp. Needed quite a bit of cleaning up, but it should run good. And I've got a mint low hour 288 cylinder now!

The 562's are notorious for that Dan-so I've been told.

Chech the squish at the distal band and all is OK. Run the saw and find an indent of the chamber ridge on the piston.
