Are they all the same

Is squish the same on all of them too start with

Evidently they are real close. I cut .030 from the squish, and .045 from the base on them all. There is less than .003 variance in the finished clearance now.

So do you need the whole saw or just a cylinder On this model since it seem the tolerances run pretty close ?

I still need the saw. The muffler is a pain in the ass, and the timing needs to be advanced. I also check final squish clearance, and check port timing on the saw.

What's with the .015 pop up notation??

I was wondering who would ask about that. That's in reference to a MS201T. It's tough to cut the base on those, so I lose the base gasket and do a .015 offset pop-up.

took me a bit time to figure out why the 13" NK bar couldn't fit well on my newest 242...

Both has got maintance and ready for the winter :) thought to swap ring on the oldest one but 155 psi is okey

550 xpg, straight gas scored, was insecure if I had cleaned the crankarea good so I pulled the seals, cheap insurance compared to get bit and pieces in a new jug
Tomorrow work is to remove casting, and put it together.

So why cut a pop up, vs cutting the squish band on this saw? Better numbers? Gets the exhaust higher?
