I got a nice 625 jred the same way. It wouldn't run at all. No filter and carb full of sawdust. New 20" b/c. Still have it.Had an opportunity to mess with a 034 super I purchased a while ago. Owner stated it was just a frustrating saw. Would start and idle ok...but would bog down upon throttle...and would only work with a full to half tank....
Pulled the carb apart...it was dry...but should have taken a photo of it. Looks like I could have started a fire with the amount of wood fibers that were blocking the screen...so I looked in the tank for filter....

Awesome work Tor!Those 346 xpg's wasnt that bad, both should actually had scored top end, both G systems are inside normal valueNone of those where abused.
The one to right where carbon scored, need a new piston, or worse a new p&c, other then that it's a decent 2007 model, it will go to someone very soon
The one to left where okey, not that pretty in plastic parts as the other one, all it need is carb clean, oh well, it will get one 199, hate those zama's anyway.

This is how the G wiring goes on all those 346xpg's, generator & rear heat wiring goes to that spot, from there and out to the handle I normally use an insulation sleeving, the sleeving also go through the handle. It do prevent any issues with the wiring.

I'm sure it would work if I wanted to find the right size, length, and tension. There is an excessive amount of vibration with the 075/076 at high rpm so nothing likes to hold.Could you fit a spring over that screw to help it from not backing out or in?
Is the intake floor higher on the xp cylinder? Those went in the freezer, 550 crank + bearings, and 242 bearings. Work for tomorrow.

Did anyone thought I love those classic 242...I think I've sucked Norway dry for them

Some think there was no difference between 242 to 242 XP, pay attention to the bewel.
1989 jug, non XP

242 XP jug

I sized them, couldnt see any difference in timings, but since there is almost no bewel in XP jug everything open and close more tight on XP compared to the older jug.Is the intake floor higher on the xp cylinder?
See ya got a Canadian Ruler right there!!!A big thanks to @Definitive Dave for the box of goodies that showed up today...which puts my 075 back on the bench. The carb on the right side will be replacing the one on the left. View attachment 33094
That cylinder on the left looks like the one John sent yah
What a coincidence. That cylinder on the left looks like the one John sent yah
Was that his piston in the lathe also? What a coincidence.
Yup. One may be near you again, attached to a saw.i know where some of those cylinders came from lol
looks like a Husqvarna cause it's missing a lot of recoil screwsHere's what I've been working on today. Still have lots to do to it but it's coming along nicely. I just kinda tossed it together for the picture. LolView attachment 33300
