A.. MAC attack ! 125 ??
I know where your coming from. I have a bottom end to split on a Arctic cat 500 4x4. It's definitely not a small job.2009 Yamaha grizzly 700,, died on me 5miles in the bush, towed home, seems the crank sensor is shot,, a pain to change.
Am 1/2 way into and enough for today. So jobs go better than others,, ya know the oil get spilt as does the antifreeze,,, ya enough for today.

Yes Sir Simon.A.. MAC attack ! 125 ??
I'm trying to talk myself into rebuilding this thing with new seals and hot rodding it out. It already has a brand new oem piston and super mild grinding to remove casting and correct cylinder sleeve misalignment. It appeares to have a plated aluminum sleeve bonded into place which was off by 1/16th inch at the upper transfers. View attachment 31459
How is it going to look any different? Then Don't.
It's Pretty.
How is it going to look any different?
It has the earliest cylinder cast which isn't the improved one so it needs a little catching up. I would like to get my hands on a 655bp cylinder.I wasn't insinuating that it would look different; that's just a nice saw.
I hope the one I spoke for is close to that nice: knowing the Dutchman, it is.

Jim that saw could only be more pretty if it ran better. Real nice one Brother. I have a 655 in the shed that hopefully Ill get to soon.I'm trying to talk myself into rebuilding this thing with new seals and hot rodding it out. I'd do it if you weren't so damn far away. I actually enjoy repairing transmissions. It's all the other crap that you have to tear off that's a PITA.I need someone to fix the transmission in my 4 wheeler.
It's not a job I wanna tackle.
Try a Dodge truck with a Cummins diesel and a NV5600 trans it bent the 1 inch plates on a 55 ton press with heat trying to get the countershaft gear off!I need someone to fix the transmission in my 4 wheeler.

Good for you!
it was a running saw.. but when i took the muffler off one of the piston and rings were badly scored. once pulled down the other piston had a little scoring also but still ok. so cleaned up the jugs a good 2nd hand piston set of rings all round and 3 AV's rim drum, bar and chain was all that was needed.. oh and a good clean .. she was caked bad under the covers.I'm surprised it needed rings, it doesn't even look used!
Great looks saw!
