My secondary Dolmar PS-7900 is getting a new chain & sprocket.
Husqvarna 42 chain, 84DL/24".
Going to give the abused bar that came with the saw upon purchase another try, rails are very unevenly worn though.

And this is why You have to dress the bar every now & then.
Those are metal chips from dressing just one bar side, and it is not yet level so more will come off.
Will have to check groove depth so the new loops DL's don't bottom out.

Works better than not dressing a worn bar!
I am actually surprised that the supplied file piece is still biting.
Although, YES I both flipped & turned the file already.

One 24" bar dressed.
Some of the filing chips probably ended up on the floor.

Wear gloves when dressing Your bars!
Those chips are sharp.

A man needs a decent 28" bar saw in his life...😁
Pretty stout 272xp (Driller Ported).
I gave $35/shipped for that bar, brand new in oem sleeve.😎
Brand new Stihl Yellow box 93dl chain, OEM dual felling spikes.

Trying to finish up a 3120xp that I have had in my possession for almost a year. This was a primer bulb saw. It was upgraded with a @huskihl modded carb & factory choke linkage. It also got switched to a 272 coil. @Mastermind recut the flywheel to work with the 272 coil. I machined and ported the jug. Thankfully the muffler was just an open can, so the modification was easy. 3E5198D6-C542-4F0E-A393-4C94F620A84A.jpegIMG_7780.jpegIMG_7781.jpeg

I usually hit them with compressed air, wash them in a part washer with mineral spirits, compressed air again, and a final wipe down if needed.

I thought I was going to get an Orline to run but issues kept coming up.

Spark was erratic even after cleaning the points several times, a number of starter issues (the starters on these little saws are pretty delicate), flooding at first, then starving for fuel. I decided to just put it all together and enjoy looking at it for now...
