For a 53cc trimmer combo, definitely worth putting in a good piston kit, IMO.

I paid $30 for the entire brush cutter and the guy wants $150 because he broke the gearbox

The cylinder is no longer perfect, so I will buy a Golf piston. Average price / at least I'll see how it's made , apparently it's very good

I had a slow weekend and decided to see if my neighbor was up to fixing the wrap on his old 090. He was, so the wrap got cleaned and prepped and a re-enforcement rod was installed in the tube for extra strength and as a heatsink while tigging it.

And, success! The wrap is now one piece once again! Now I just gotta clean up the welds, strip and repaint the rest of the wrap, and install some new cushioning.

MS291,, pretty sure it was straight gassed its scored both sides and something left a lil groove in the slug,,, pretty sure this is a dumpster item.

Gave the repair site a coat of paint, re-assembled the rest of the saw, spun up a chain for it, and now I've just gotta source some grip tubing and build a set of felling claws.

Got plenty o' that chit at work, I'd rather get something more cushiony. I'd prefer oem tubing for looks but after one 3 hour long ordeal I'm not doing that again. Some long ago p.o. used rtv wrapped in grip tape, but I'm thinking some properly sized heater hose wrapped in grip tape oughta work ok.

I actually used bike cork handle tape , it worked well for cushioning,

This one will be for sale when I’m done with it. The owner is 74 and he doesn’t fly it much anymore. We’ve looked after this airplane for almost 20 years and it never been rained on.
Ever. @Duce is close on the used price, we’re all thinking John will ask $120K for it. Considering the cost of a new one, that would be a steal.
