Which carb does it have? There's a Tillotson HU carb on the early regular 024s that takes to mods very well.

If you need an 026 crank, I think I got an extra.
This one has a Walbro WT22. I need to check the port timing numbers and see where things are at currently. There is definitely room to widen the intake & exhaust. The muffler is horribly choked up, lol.

I've been having mixed results eliminating fuel and oil leaks between rubber fuel lines and metal or plastic tanks. I have tried the suggestions obtained from members with limited improvements, but not eliminating them.
While looking at ThreeBond products, 1211 claimed to have excellent resistance to oil and fuels, with bonding to many metals and rubber etc.
Are there any results stories that could be shared, both good and bad.

Thanks in advance....

Tried that 3Bond 1211 to seal up the oil pickup tube on the little Homie I'm helping a friend out with. Gave it a generous coating around the lip seal flange, and will let it set at least 24hr b4 trying. Product is a off white color.
30 min. basic set 24hr bond and 3 day full cure.

when i put that carb on it. it was winter and really cold. i spent a bunch of time changing jets and needels before it occurred to me that i was setting the thing up for the wrong weather conditions. i was chasing my tail trying to get it to run good. i cant find that friggin notebook that i used so i have no idea what is in the carb. i havent done anything except turn the fuel/air screw in about a turn or maybe a little more. it runs pretty good it has a small flat spot. jot bad for sitting for so long with gas in it and just running it for a while.

i am in need of a few smaller pilot jets to try its still really rich at idle. i think im spot on with the main jet it runs really good at wide open. im not sure how to go about changing the 1/4 to 3/4 range its still not quite right. i have a couple of other jet needles to try. but you cant really work on them until the pilot and main are correct i have several bigger main jets to try. im out of new spark plugs as well. i need to buy a bunch more my back is shot from bending over removing and installing that carb so many times yesterday

Upon closer inspection, it just needs a clutch cover, and my cheesy dog bent back out. Good thing I didn't harden them. That log 'bout yanked my arms out of my sockets. Tough little saws. Put it back together and worked out the day with it. I haven't met a soul that has one that doesn't love it. Especially when it's mofo powered 💪

i moved the clip up to lean it out and its still to rich. i have another needle that is a little thicker i think....one is a 5 the other is a 6 i think the 6 is the thicker one which will lean it out if my thinking is correct. i have another one that is a little longer but thinner i think that will make it richer for sure

Can you not change the pilot jet? What size do you have now?
