I got a shop/garage when we bought this house a year ago. The only reason we got it for the asking price was I told the previous owner to leave any thing behind they didn't want to move; I took 7 4x8' trailers of trash out of the shop.
Looks like a pretty good space - I see you filling it up with projects in a short time...

Did You find any small treasures cleaning out the shop?
One can never know what someone was hoarding.

so this saw was missing the rubber gromet that goes over the carb screws making it very difficult the get the screw driver on them. seeing on this site on another post to try some fuel line. that didnt work but some bigger tubing did help. i left the tubing a little long so it would rest against the cover to help keep them from falling off. its not perfect but at least now there is a chance of getting the screwdriver into the screws. i think if i could get a small piece of tubing over each screw it might help guide the driver. idk my tinker thinker is on it20230615_140555.jpg20230615_140600.jpg

20230615_150415.jpg20230615_150421.jpg20230615_150701.jpgi dont know how well this will hold up. it works like a charm though. the straw fits nice and snug over the screws and guides the screwdriver right in with little to no fiddeling around. hopefully tue vinyl tubing isnt so tight against the cover that vibration makes it crack.

It's also a good way to get something to aim at if you get a saw that has had the epa interlocks removed leaving a tiny screw head.

I think the next saw to go back together if i can still find all of the pieces is a 335/338xpt. the question i have right now is how to center the crank in the bearings. this was a project i had two summers ago. when i started putting it together i noticed that the when the piston was in and the bearings were in the cups the crank isnt centered. would putting the bottom cover back on and giving the crank a smack with a hammer be the way to do this, or try to move the bearings individually

I think that may be the original engine. I have a Troy built horse tiller wi a Tecumseh engine very similar to that one.
Same style air filter and muffler. Different gas tank.
My junior now has a horse for a brother. It needs a few things, but runs and spins as it should.
