Would need some bigger dogs and at least a 28" "blade" to be a left coast logging saw....550 is a logging saw? Interesting.
They aren’t “blades”, but yes to everything else.Would need some bigger dogs and at least a 28" "blade" to be a left coast logging saw....

Looking good so far.My 5-10 is torn down so I can scrape out some carbon and put a new set of rings in it, and while I’m at it I’ll swap out the tank so I can run a SDC/v-stack combo on it. For @tickbitintn ’s sake I’ll need to make some big dogs and put a 36 inch arm and blade on it when it’s back together. Right now I need to pick up some sealant for the case and then I’ll be able to re-assemble it.

Yer just jealous it’s a Husky. I’ll let you in on a trick I learned, a 440 3/4 wrap bolts right on to an 026, all you need to do is drill a new hole on the underside. As for a wrap on a 50cc saw, I learned that tip secondhand (via the interwebz) from a guy who had a buddy that was a climber. The climber wanted a light, full wrap saw for in the tree so he found out how to put a wrap on the 026 he already had.Interesting. So cutting slash means they're loggers?
LMAO.
I'm just funnin here with you.
Before this gets out of hand.
To me, a wrap on 50cc saw is a waste, but just my opinion.
My BIL put a full wrap from a 440 on his 026. It looks pretty cool like that.Yer just jealous it’s a Husky. Very nice job on that, to you and @srcarr52 .This saw is for a man in his 70s who works on a fire mitigation crew. He's a tough ol bird. I'm just trying to give the man what he asked for.
The handlebar is a standard 550 bar, with a 562 wrap section tig welded onto it. Then I covered it with Stihl handlebar hose. Had to use two different sizes of hose because the 550 bar, and the 562 section are different diameters.
Shout out to @srcarr52 for the welding.
I've fully wrapped ma tool many times in the past.Handy as can be. You can just flip the saw over rather than go around the tree. Work smarter....not harder.
