Why do people need an inner spike for bucking wood?
They don't "need" it , obviously ten series McCulloch saws never had any and it could be argued that they cut 1/3 of the worlds fire wood 20yrs ago , along with Poulan and homelite. Why do people need an inner spike for bucking wood?
I agree. They don't "need" it , obviously ten series McCulloch saws never had any and it could be argued that they cut 1/3 of the worlds fire wood 20yrs ago , along with Poulan and homelite.
However it does protect the oil tank from violent smacks of broken wood, and it makes sticking the saw easier when moving logs or resting .
Alot of older guys around me (70+) believe if your bucking logs and only have an outside spike ,that it should be removed.
I have four 1127 saws original that will be in my sites tomorrow or Tuesday for a look at the wiring. The ones here are in a crate disassembled. So does it go on the same bolt then? I dont think it will reach from other.

It's coming and 034.I'm surprised there is no foam filter made yet for 200t/201t
Right OnAfter enough bs you'll have no problem saying no to just about everyone. I'm past no. It's gfy time nowadays lol
Is ther supposed to be a big washer on that 039 like this in pic inbetween the oil pump and the clutch. Ther wasnt one in box of parts. I thought maybe ther should be so i got one but it dont seem to fit. Clutch drum wont go on far enough with it but will without it.

Yup I agree with you. Not worth the BS and most homeowners power equipment cost more than it’s worth to fix. Designed obsolescence. The last and final customer saw I'll be doing. I'll still be doing my own builds from time to time but shop has been shut down to the public. Tired of the headaches and bs of dealing with people. The $3 you make on fixing power equipment ain't worth the time and frustration. Supposed to be getting a coil soon for this thing and away it goes

I got it togeather and running today. Kill switch is working. Thanks for the offer.I have four 1127 saws original that will be in my sites tomorrow or Tuesday for a look at the wiring. The ones here are in a crate disassembled.
Oh so mine may not have had one from factory then? Those are the most left out parts on the Farm Boss types. That and bar plates or chain bumpers.
The open style clutch require the ‘clutch washer’. Clutch with guide clips don’t.
I’m always pleasantly surprised when the stack of parts works out correct. [emoji57]
I just pulled the top end off my 550 and it looks similar to that one, but blue. What good oil looks like in a saw
