My dad had one very similar. His was ancient. VH4D Wisconsin on it. The travel lift at my work has a V4 Wisconsin on it too, 6 volt starter.

Troy Bilt 42 rider got its annual service plus a deck belt and set of blades. Been going at it hard all week, time to relax. Tomorrow I'm going to do some shop cleanup.

Bought a high lift jack to make blade and belt service easier and less sketchy than using a floor jack.

Dolmar PS 9000 coil, came loose and ran up against the flywheel and grew this booger, running a bead across the laminations Has no spark now but thought I’d clean it to separate the laminations and see if it make a delta.
I’ll but it back on this weekend and see if it sparks.

Cleaned the oem coil booger but still no joy.
Took a Stihl universal knock off and cut it to fit, more than what’s shown. Also had to bend the kill tab 180 degrees and extend the kill wire.
Sparks now.
