Press on clutch spider sitting on a 40 yr old dolmar. Somehow got to get off to change crank seals.. Heat and puller haven't worked so far..

Pics of my pleasant experience if successful tomorrow..

Well Isaac do you know what caused it. Some nasty looking scoring.

It was " my saw " but was sent to another crew and returned to me like that. The boss could tell I was very unhappy so he just let me have the saw. After all I've ran that saw since I was 19 I'm 32 now. We're buddies lol. The piston looks bad but I think the cylinder can be salvaged. The crazy thing is the saw still pumps around 140 psi. My guess is it was run on straight gas.

Neighbor was cutting firewood with his 272xp and was giving him problems. Called and asked if he could borrow a saw, no problem will be right over and help. Started his 272 to show me how it ran, asked him to shut it down and will take a look at it. His son and I cut all his logs with my 372 and 390 Miller Mod Saw. Steve ran tractor with forks and made cutting a lot easier, standing. After we had finished, Steve handed me this saw and said it's yours, junk to me. Saw was screaming air leak. Would not hold vacuum until grease was put on flywheel side seal. Replaced seals and installed a new piston ring, holds vacuum and runs well. Returning his saw to him, I don't roll like that. lol.

A lot of heat, simple puller, some wire to enlist the aid of gravity and lots off copper hammer persuasive action..

See the little piece of pigtail line I put on the impulse last year is holding up, was brought in with tygon on it that was kinked blocking off the pulse.

300 miles from home and my bench is the hotel table. Relay crapped out on my outboard and its Sunday so no parts houses open. Relay is clicking so hopefully a good contact clean will work.

Saws are never too ugly, and we love pics!

It's in a box right now, waiting for parts. I decided to add a little paint to the parts before I try to put it together. Waiting on starter pawl springs so I can see what it does need when I try to start it.

Reworked the 'dead man' on sons mower to get it running. Changed the oil and sharpened the blade to boot.

Got to get my Lawnboy back from him before he screws that up.[emoji849]

Just finished gutting the muffler on my FS120. The twin just needs the chain sharpened.

Pawl springs for my 031 came in this afternoon so I took them out and installed them on the flywheel and put it on the saw. Getting there. Gotta get a haircut in the morning but will get back to the saws in the PM. Before I slap it all together I think I'll hook the drill up to the flywheel and see if I have any spark. I've already cleaned the points and didn't see anything shorted like the kill wire.
