The specified gap is .040, but these were mostly at about .075.
Luckily I live in an area that doesn't see much salt, if this was in the NE where I am from they would not have been able to be changed with just a few hand tools.

You got your moneys worth from them. Truck should run like new again with the new plugs WITH ELECTRODES. lol
The burn was perfect on them.

I replaced them with the ngk iridium-ix.
So the electrodes are iddy-biddy!!

In a top fuel dragster, the spark plugs are melted down a few seconds into the run, I think you did a bit better.

I worked for a farmer for a few years when I was younger. He had a fleet of old trucks and was worried about replacing them, I convinced him that regular maintenance would probably get him a few more year out of them. So that winter I gave him a list of filters and plugs.
The worst actual plugs that sorta ran came out of an 86' ford dump he had, the entire electrode and the metal tangs were GONE ! Boy did that 460 run better with those and the wires(stamped 1986 fomoco) changed.

Flex pipe and gaskets replaced on my 06 Escape Hybrid. Much quieter now. Just need to retorque the hardware in a week.

Metal tape comes with the seal and gasket kit, atleast the oem one I bought did.

I've been told on those 3000 plus HP top fuel dragsters running nitrous it goes in nearly as a liquid .If it miss fires before it burns the plugs up it becomes a bomb .One run is all they get out of an engine .Kind of expensive to say the least .

Day was going well until this happened....was turning right on a green light and somebody blew through a red light. Looks fixable. Girlfriend and I as well as the other driver are okay.
