Nice. What year? If you lived up in snow country your truck would look alot different From the salt brine used on the roads.
Yeah salt sure kicks the "S#1?" out of a vehicle up there....

I dropped the fuel tank out of my 18yo s-10 a few years back with hand tools.
Up there it would have been a torch, new straps, new hardware and a lot of cussin'
Lol

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Duramax. I always thought I'd get 500k before the truck would rot out. I have 187k on the ticker. I'll be lucky to make it to 300k before the frame rots in half. [emoji2955]
I could post pictures of the under carriage of my 1973 D100 that would make you cry. Has always been a South Carolina truck.

BR340 owned by one of the guys at work. He says it will only run a short time then die. Did the basic checks and they were okay. Tossed a new plug in it and put my spark checker on it and let it run at full tilt for half an hour and it didn't die. I'll let it sit overnight and try it again tomorrow evening.

I've got a BR 400 blower that' s really a cream puff but I don't use it that often .That thing will really blow leaves and snow though .Just a pain in the back sides to use .I have to start it on the ground then strap the dang thing on which it never quite seems to sit right .

The parts came a little bit early for the little Poulan 2075 .It did a lot better than I would have thought .You can't expect much from 2 cubic inches .However with a 16" bar with lo pro 3/8 semi chisel it chewed right through a 22" shagbark hickory log . --I certainly didn't lean on it though .It is what it is .

Finally got the BR340 diagnosed. Tank vent is intermittently not venting. New vent on order. Started right up and ran good for a few minutes then starting losing rpm, cracked fuel cap and rpm picked right up.

Yamaha MZ300 on a EF4600A generator carb clean/rebuild. Ran good but carb was dripping. Getting a hot bath in the ultrasonic cleaner and a new needle and bowl gasket. Also getting a new fuel line/plug/oil change/air filter.

I couldn’t stand these newer spikes on the dolmars for hardwood cutting. They work good on softer wood but in hardwood they’d even jam up a ms880 if you put them on one... now imagine them on a 70cc saw. Silly. The older 3 point dogs were so much better. But they are hard to come by... so I modified these. We’ll see how they do.114E4B86-A433-4C93-9FCE-DCADF9093597.jpeg840E2BCA-CCD0-49DE-BEC0-482A9C9C8061.jpeg 26495939-3344-4442-BF55-7EACBBFB76A4.jpeg Here’s stock for reference... 84A4E3A5-D3A4-45F2-A6DE-162AF078C08E.jpeg

Bench vise, teaching myself to square file so I bought a cheap vice to hold the chain till I get some muscle memory.
I took a grinder and flapper wheel to slope the edges so the file wouldn't hit it.
Then I cut some strips of self adhesive sand paper to hold the drive links better since the casting of the vice is questionable at best. 20201205_112318.jpg 20201205_112343.jpg 20201205_112359.jpg

Yamaha carb cleaned up nicely last night. Waiting for bowl gasket, needle and needle clip.

Nothing this evening, I became a drowned rat today at work and came home soaked to the bone. Showered, put comfy clothes on and now I'm just relaxing watching YouTube.

Started porting the lowers on this 440 cylinder today... Cylinder installed w/o base gasket #'s are....(if I measured correctly)
Ex. Open 100° and open for 178°
In. Open 105° and open for 180°
Trans open at 115°
0 squish.
Plan is to turn it into a pipe class racer. Any tips and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
